    How to: Dumbbell Step up

    1. Stand in front of a step with a dumbbell in each hand.
    2. Step up onto the platform with one foot, pushing through the heel.
    3. Bring the other foot up to meet the leading foot, standing tall on the step.
    4. Step back down with the same foot, and then the other foot.
    5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, alternating the leading foot.

    Common Mistakes

    • Not keeping the knee aligned with the toes.
    • Using too heavy weights, leading to improper form.
    • Failing to fully extend the leg when stepping up.

    Modifications

    • Perform the exercise without weights to reduce intensity.
