    How to: Assisted Pull up

    1. Set the appropriate weight on the leverage machine.
    2. Kneel or stand on the platform and grip the handles with palms facing away.
    3. Engage your core and pull the handles down towards your chest, keeping your elbows close to your body.
    4. Pause at the bottom of the movement before slowly returning to the starting position.

    Common Mistakes

    • Pulling with the arms instead of using the back.
    • Not fully extending the arms in the starting position.
    • Using momentum to assist the pull rather than controlled movement.

    Modifications

    • Use a resistance band for assistance if needed.
    • Adjust the machine to reduce the weight if you struggle with your own body weight.

    Tips

    • Start with a lighter weight if you're new to this exercise.
    • Focus on engaging your back muscles throughout the movement.
    • Ensure your grip is firm and the machine is properly adjusted for your height.
