How to: Cable High Row with Chest Support

    1. Set the cable pulley to a high position and attach the appropriate handle.
    2. Sit on the bench with your chest against the support.
    3. Grab the handle with both hands and pull it towards your body, keeping your elbows close.
    4. Squeeze your shoulder blades together at the top of the movement.
    5. Slowly return to the starting position and repeat.

    Common Mistakes

    • Not keeping the back straight during the row.
    • Using excessive weight, which can compromise form.
    • Rushing through the repetitions instead of maintaining control.

    Modifications

    • Use lighter weights if you experience discomfort.
    • Perform the exercise without a chest support to increase difficulty if capable.

    Tips

    • Keep your chest supported against the pad throughout the movement.
    • Focus on squeezing your shoulder blades together at the top of the row.
    • Use a controlled motion to maximize muscle engagement.
