How to: Cable Lying Fly
Begin lying on a bench with a cable in each hand, arms extended above you.
With a slight bend in your elbows, open your arms wide until you feel a stretch in your chest.
Bring the cables back together above your chest, squeezing your pectorals at the top of the movement.
Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Common Mistakes
Allowing elbows to flare out excessively.
Using too heavy a weight, leading to improper form.
Not controlling the movement back to the starting position.
Modifications
Perform with lighter weight cables to reduce strain.
Modify the range of motion based on comfort.
Tips
Maintain a slight bend in your elbows throughout the movement.
Pull your arms together using your chest muscles rather than your arms.
Do not let the cables rest on the pulleys; keep tension on the cables.
