How to: Front Plank Side Hop

    1. Start in a plank position with your arms straight and body in a straight line from heels to head.
    2. Engage your core and jump your feet to one side, landing softly.
    3. Immediately jump to the other side and repeat the motion.
    4. Continue for the desired amount of time or repetitions.

    Common Mistakes

    • Not keeping hips stable during the hops.
    • Landing too hard which can lead to injury.
    • Failing to keep the plank position when hopping.

    Modifications

    • Perform the side hop with smaller hops to reduce impact.
    • Substitute with a side step if jumping is challenging.

    Tips

    • Keep your core engaged during the movement.
    • Ensure that your landing is soft to absorb impact.
    • Use your arms for balance as you hop side to side.
