    How to: Jumping Jack

    1. Stand upright with your legs together and arms at your sides.
    2. Jump while spreading your legs shoulder-width apart and raising your arms above your head.
    3. Quickly reverse the motion to return to the starting position.
    4. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

    Common Mistakes

    • Not landing softly, which can strain joints.
    • Letting the knees cave inward.
    • Failing to keep the arms moving in sync with the legs.

    Modifications

    • Step out instead of jumping for a lower impact option.
    • Use a chair for support if needed.

    Tips

    • Land softly to reduce impact on your joints.
    • Engage your core to keep your posture upright.
    • Start with a slower pace if you're new to the exercise.
