How to: Single Leg Sliding Floor Bridge Curl on Towel
Lie on your back with one foot on a towel, knee bent and foot flat on the floor.
Lift your opposite leg straight up into the air.
Push through the heel of your foot on the towel, lifting your hips towards the ceiling.
Squeeze your glutes at the top of the movement, then slowly slide your foot back to the starting position.
Repeat for the desired number of repetitions and switch legs.
Common Mistakes
Not engaging the core can lead to lower back strain.
Raising the hips too high can cause misalignment in the spine.
Sliding the towel too quickly can lead to loss of control.
Modifications
Perform the exercise without the sliding motion if balance is an issue.
Use a pillow or padded mat under the lower back for support.
Tips
Keep your core engaged throughout the movement.
Ensure your heel is firmly pressed against the towel to maintain control.
Lower your hips slowly to avoid straining your lower back.
