    How to: Square Hop

    1. Start with your feet shoulder-width apart.
    2. Jump forward into a square position, landing with feet flat.
    3. Quickly hop to the right, then backward, then left, and back to the starting position.
    4. Repeat this pattern while maintaining a steady pace.

    Common Mistakes

    • Jumping too high, which can lead to injury.
    • Landing heavily on feet instead of softly.
    • Failing to keep a rhythm, leading to a stop-start motion.

    Modifications

    • Perform the hops in place if high-impact is a concern.
    • Reduce the speed of the hops to make it easier.

    Tips

    • Land softly on your feet to reduce impact.
    • Keep your knees slightly bent during the jumps.
    • Maintain a steady rhythm throughout the exercise.
