    How to: Cable Lying Curl

    1. Lie down on a bench with your feet flat on the ground.
    2. Attach a cable to a low pulley and hold the handle with an underhand grip.
    3. Curl the cable towards your shoulders while keeping your elbows close to your body.
    4. Pause at the top of the movement, then slowly lower back to the starting position.

    Common Mistakes

    • Using too heavy of a weight, leading to poor form.
    • Allowing elbows to drift backward during the lift.

    Modifications

    • Use a lighter weight to maintain proper form.
    • Perform the exercise seated if stability is an issue.

    Tips

    • Keep your elbows stationary to maximize bicep engagement.
    • Focus on controlling the movement throughout the entire range of motion.
