How to: Calf Stretch with Rope

    1. Sit on the floor with your legs extended.
    2. Loop a rope around the ball of one foot.
    3. Gently pull on the rope while keeping your knee straight until you feel a stretch in your calf.
    4. Hold the position for 15-30 seconds before switching sides.

    Common Mistakes

    • Bending the knee during the stretch.
    • Not holding the stretch for enough time.

    Modifications

    • Perform the stretch seated for more support.
    • Use a towel instead of a rope if one is not available.

    Tips

    • Keep your back straight throughout the stretch.
    • Ensure that you do not overextend your knee.
