How to: Lean Forward Stretch
Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart.
Take a step forward with one foot, keeping the other foot stationary.
Bend the front knee while keeping the back leg straight.
Lean forward gently to feel a stretch in the hip flexors of the back leg.
Hold the position for 15-30 seconds, then switch legs.
Common Mistakes
Hunching the back instead of keeping it straight.
Not holding the stretch long enough to be effective.
Rushing into the stretch without proper warm-up.
Modifications
Use a cushion under the knees if needed for comfort.
Perform the stretch seated if standing is difficult.
Tips
Keep your back straight while leaning forward.
Breathe deeply and relax into the stretch.
Do not rush the movement; only stretch as far as comfortable.
