How to: One Leg Floor Calf Raise

    1. Stand on one leg with the other leg slightly raised behind you.
    2. Raise your heel off the ground as high as possible, pushing through the ball of your foot.
    3. Hold the position for a moment before lowering your heel back to the ground.
    4. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions before switching legs.

    Common Mistakes

    • Raising the heel too high or not fully extending.
    • Allowing the body to lean too far forward.
    • Overutilizing momentum instead of controlled movement.

    Modifications

    • Use a wall or chair for support if necessary.
    • Perform the exercise seated if standing is not possible.

    Tips

    • Keep your core engaged for better balance.
    • Perform the movement slowly to focus on control.
    • Ensure your standing leg is straight but not locked.
