    How to: Reverse Push-up

    1. Sit on the ground with your hands on the surface behind you, fingers facing forward.
    2. Extend your legs out in front, resting your heels on the floor.
    3. Bend your elbows to lower your body toward the ground.
    4. Push through your hands to return to the starting position.
    5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

    Common Mistakes

    • Allowing elbows to flare out excessively.
    • Not maintaining a straight body line.
    • Bouncing off the bottom position instead of maintaining control.

    Modifications

    • Perform the push-up on an incline to reduce difficulty.
    • Try kneeling instead of using the toes for additional support.

    Tips

    • Keep your elbows close to your body to engage the triceps effectively.
    • Maintain a straight line from your shoulders to your heels throughout the movement.
    • Control your descent and avoid dropping your hips.
