How to: Shoulder Internal Rotation Test

    1. Stand or sit comfortably with your arms at your sides.
    2. Bring one arm up and bend your elbow at a 90-degree angle.
    3. Rotate your arm inward and towards your body, maintaining a fixed elbow position.
    4. Hold the position for a count of 10 seconds and return to starting position.
    5. Repeat on the other side.

    Common Mistakes

    • Letting the elbow extend away from the body.
    • Using excessive force instead of smooth movement.
    • Neglecting to warm up the shoulder joint beforehand.

    Modifications

    • Use a towel or strap to assist in the rotation if flexibility is limited.

    Tips

    • Maintain a straight posture during the test.
    • Keep the elbow close to the body throughout the movement.
    • Perform slowly to avoid unnecessary strain.
