How to: Superman Chest Stretch
Stand tall with feet hip-width apart.
Extend your arms out to the sides at shoulder height.
Gently draw your shoulder blades together and down.
Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, stretch your arms further back to increase the stretch across your chest.
Hold this position for the desired duration, then relax.
Common Mistakes
Overextending the arms, which can strain the shoulders.
Hunching the shoulders instead of keeping them back.
Holding the breath instead of maintaining a steady breathing rhythm.
Modifications
Perform the stretch seated if standing is uncomfortable.
Reduce the range of motion if you feel discomfort.
Tips
Keep your shoulders relaxed and away from your ears.
Hold the stretch for 20-30 seconds for optimal results.
Focus on your breathing, inhaling deeply as you stretch.
