How to: Calves stretch
Stand facing a wall with one foot forward and one foot back.
Keep the back leg straight and the back heel on the ground.
Lean forward into the wall until you feel a stretch in the calf of the back leg.
Hold the position without bouncing.
Common Mistakes
Not keeping the back heel down.
Bouncing during the stretch.
Not holding the stretch long enough.
Modifications
Perform the stretch seated if standing is uncomfortable.
Use a wall for support if balance is an issue.
Tips
Keep your back heel on the ground and bend your front knee.
