    How to: Inchworm

    1. Start in a standing position with your feet shoulder-width apart.
    2. Bend at the hips and place your hands on the floor in front of you.
    3. Walk your hands forward until you are in a plank position.
    4. Hold the position for a moment, then walk your hands back towards your feet.
    5. Stand up to return to the starting position and repeat.

    Common Mistakes

    • Allowing the lower back to sag.
    • Not engaging the core during the movement.
    • Rushing through the exercise.

    Modifications

    • Perform the exercise from a kneeling position to reduce difficulty.
    • Use a mat for extra cushioning under the knees.
