    How to: Kettlebell Deck Squat

    1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold the kettlebell with both hands.
    2. Begin the squat by pushing your hips back and bending at the knees.
    3. Lower your body until your thighs are parallel to the ground or as low as you comfortably can.
    4. Maintain a straight back and keep your chest up throughout the movement.
    5. Push through your heels to return to the standing position.

    Common Mistakes

    • Leaning too far forward during the squat.
    • Not using a full range of motion.
    • Rounding the back instead of keeping it straight.

    Modifications

    • For added support, perform the squat without the kettlebell.
    • Use a bench or a box to sit on briefly during the squat to ensure safety.

    Tips

    • Maintain a straight back while performing the squat.
    • Engage your core to support the lower back throughout the movement.
    • Start with a lighter kettlebell to master form before progressing to heavier weights.
