How to: Lateral Raise with Towel

    1. Stand upright holding a towel in each hand at your sides.
    2. Keeping your arms straight, raise the towels out to the side until parallel to the ground.
    3. Pause for a moment at the top, then slowly lower back down to the starting position.
    4. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

    Common Mistakes

    • Using momentum instead of controlled movement.
    • Raising arms too high, which can strain the shoulder.

    Modifications

    • Reduce range of motion if experiencing discomfort.
    • Perform seated to provide more support.

    Tips

    • Keep your back straight to avoid putting strain on your spine.
    • Control the movement to maximize tension on the target muscles.
