How to: Lever Push-up with Towels
Adjust the leverage machine to a comfortable height.
Place towels under your hands for added grip and comfort.
From a starting position, lower your chest towards the lever until it is just above the machine.
Push back up until your arms are fully extended.
Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Common Mistakes
Allowing the elbows to flail out wide, which can strain the shoulders.
Not lowering the body far enough during the push-up.
Rounding the back instead of maintaining a straight body line.
Modifications
Use a lighter resistance setting on the machine.
Perform the push-up at an incline to reduce difficulty.
Tips
Engage your core throughout the movement to maintain stability.
Keep your elbows slightly tucked in to protect your shoulders.
Press all the way through the palms of your hands for maximum engagement.
