    How to: Low Jacks

    1. Stand with your feet together and arms at your sides.
    2. Lower into a squat position while simultaneously jumping your feet out to the sides.
    3. Raise your arms up above your head as you jump your feet back together.
    4. Return to the starting position and repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions.

    Common Mistakes

    • Landing too hard, which may stress the joints.
    • Allowing the knees to cave inward when landing.

    Modifications

    • Perform the low jacks with a smaller range of motion.
    • Step one foot out to the side at a time instead of jumping.

    Tips

    • Maintain a steady pace while performing the exercise.
    • Ensure your chest stays up and your knees are soft when landing.
