Calf Raise on Stair
How to: Standing Calf Raise (On a staircase)
Stand on the edge of a staircase with the balls of your feet on the step.
Let your heels drop below the step to feel a stretch in your calves.
Push through the balls of your feet to raise your heels as high as possible.
Slowly lower back down to the starting position.
Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Common Mistakes
Not allowing the heels to drop fully.
Rushing through the reps instead of controlling the movement.
Locking the knees at the top position.
Modifications
Perform the exercise on flat ground instead of a staircase.
Use a wall or railing for support if balance is an issue.
Tips
Keep your abdominal muscles engaged to maintain balance.
Make sure your heels drop below the step for a full range of motion.
Perform the exercise slowly to increase muscle engagement.
