    How to: Star Jump

    1. Stand with feet together and arms at your sides.
    2. In one explosive movement, jump outwards while spreading your legs to the side and raising your arms overhead.
    3. Land softly and return to the starting position.
    4. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

    Common Mistakes

    • Not using arms for balance.
    • Jumping too high and landing hard.
    • Incorrect landing posture which can strain knees.

    Modifications

    • Perform the jump with a lower impact by stepping instead of jumping.
    • Reduce the range of motion if you experience discomfort.

    Tips

    • Land softly to reduce impact on your joints.
    • Use your hands to gain momentum and maintain balance.
    • Keep your core engaged during the jump.
